After reluctantly stopping the bus, the driver felt the need to tell me that I “waved wrong” and that,“you are supposed to put your arms above your head.”

Quite confused, I then proceeded to get on the bus and let him be. 

I’m sorry but I wasn’t aware there is a particular method in waving down a bus. I must have missed those lessons.
